Hieroglyphics
I noticed a feeling I get in the forest, especially when I am doing a longer trek through the backcountry. It is a moment that I know exists but always seems to sneak up on me. When you are trekking deep inside of an old growth forest, the surroundings are lush and dense with a canopy of dark and vibrant greens that block most of the sunlight. When hiking for a long period in this it is easy to zone out and continue to motor through. The mindset is just get to point B.
Suddenly, a clearing appears. It is a beautiful valley with a small lake. The sun reflects off the water and meets your skin. This change is felt through the body. It is noticed. You can almost remember to breathe again.
Sugg and Jolly are learning from each other. Both are dealing with unresolved grief. Grief they are unaware they are suffering from; it is hidden that deep within their cells. When in survival mode the mind and body are vibrating very low. The only focus is literally surviving. After being in this tunnel for quite some time it can be shocking to your system when you arrive to a beautiful clearing, even if it’s just for a moment. A default can be to feel undeserving. The more you work through, the more clearings appear. Some may even start to notice the world show up for them in a new way.
