Connecting the Dots
If you ever stop and pay close attention to nature you’ll notice the subtle way it communicates where time and speed doesn’t seem to exist. Our human experience isn’t that much different.
Jolly came from a very fast-paced environment. Arriving to Woodpine has been a big adjustment for her because it moves entirely different. She feels like everything she is doing is wrong because back where she came from it would be judged that way. She has forced herself to slow down, and because of this her internal world has grown sharper. She notices more and steadily begins to lose her need for sources of external validation. Each day she slowly trusts this process and digs a little deeper.
Unprepared she is called to leave her lonely post processing fish in an unpleasant den. A job she has finally grown comfortable with to go out to sea with Sugg’s crew. In this interaction with Rocky she experiences a subtle moment recognizing the world around her as an aide and not a foe. A soft moment of nuance where she begins to shift the way she see’s the world utilizing her own experiences as tools to self-soothe during a time of uncertainty and fear.
