Imprints of Nostalgia

We are made of moments. Some are tethered and stuck in time waiting for us to reach for them, and others are lost the day we found them. This made me wonder, what is the criteria for good nostalgia? Having the ability to teleport to a different reel of our spirit is a pretty cool thing. Here we have access to the things that shaped us. Moments gone by that provided comfort and safety, laughter, peace or confidence. I haven’t thought about it much until I started to explore the simpler times; the moments of substance that really mean something. It offered a realization that we can always revisit the same spot, but can never be in the same place. A reminder that we’ve been growing this whole time.
